Brandon Bowers is a musician, audio engineer, and visual artist from Houston, Texas. His solo musical efforts focus on singer/songwriter garage folk and spoken word, but he performs and records music with other bands in a variety of genres. He is the guitarist/organist for Smoking Spore and played bass for Houston thrash outfit Made in Vain from 2008 to 2011. His unique visual art is available in the online gallery Subtractive Attractions. He spent much of his teens and college years traveling the southern United States in search of reptiles and amphibians to photograph, and has been involved in research and conservation projects in New Mexico, Texas, Florida, and Georgia. He has been recording bands for over a decade, and after intense frustration with the music business and the status of art appreciation among his cohorts, he started the independent media company Ground Sloth Media in 2009, allowing musicians and artists to release music and art without restraint or social pressure. His first solo album, All Graves Must Be Dug By Hand, was released in 2010.
